HTC has released the results for the final quarter of the 2012. Although this is generally the best quarter for sales for all those who deal with consumer electronics, with HTC the situation is nowhere near good. Looks like they were serious when they said that the worst is behind them, since the results can hardly be any worse then they are.
Las Vegas, NV CES 2013 – Today we took the time to talk to the guys at Intel. As you can imagine the topic was the Next Unit of Computing and also the push into Mobile. The conversation was led by John Deatherage who showed us the NUC in a couple of different incarnations. The most one we talked most about was the same one that we have seen reviewed by a number of sites (we are working on getting one in the lab as well). This is an interesting product and while many have heralded it and Haswell as the death of the desktop socket appears to be more of an evolution from products that are already on the market (think ION and Atom). However, do not think that the NUC is not a new item. It does represent a new push into a more performance based small form factor and one that will be very important in the future.

Apple's PC sales fell in the holiday period between 18th November and 22nd December, according to AppleInsider citing NPD data.
After a sharp request, Liberty Ammunition renamed their "Halo-point" ammunition, and removed all links with the game Halo. Recently, one might have seen ammunition boxes with the logo "Halo-point" in the same font used by Microsoft for their Halo game on the Discovery show named "Dual Survival".
Demand from companies and various organizations for the new computers will be relatively weak this year, according to market analysis company Forrester Research. Last year's sales of PCs and tablets based on Windows for business users fell 4%.
