HTC brings disappointing financial report for the last quarter

htc 2

HTC has released the results for the final quarter of the 2012. Intel shows off the Next Unit of Computing and talks tablet benchmarking at CES 2013

Intro

Las Vegas, NV CES 2013 – Today we took the time to talk to the guys at Intel. As you can imagine the topic was the Next Unit of Computing and also the push into Mobile. The conversation was led by John Deatherage who showed us the NUC in a couple of different incarnations. The most one we talked most about was the same one that we have seen reviewed by a number of sites (we are working on getting one in the lab as well). This is an interesting product and while many have heralded it and Haswell as the death of the desktop socket appears to be more of an evolution from products that are already on the market (think ION and Atom). However, do not think that the NUC is not a new item. It does represent a new push into a more performance based small form factor and one that will be very important in the future.
