CES 2014 – Las Vegas, Nevada. As we mentioned in another article it seems that CES is living up to its name as it becomes more and more about consumer electronics (gadgets, TVs, Mobile etc) and the computer industry moves into the background. So with that in mind, just what is going to be the “big thing” at CES 2014? Will we see something PC related as the darling of the show or will we find another item that steals interest and what everyone will be talking about.
AMD had their big CES-2013 press conference yesterday and while the tone was the typical joyous “we are doing great” one that you hear in any press conference from a tech company these days there was something else behind the happy faces and smiles. As we watched and listened to the different speakers we heard this subtle tone and it was an apology. AMD’s message for 2013 is that they will not only promise better performance and competing products, but they will execute and deliver on those products.
CES 2012 Las Vegas, Nevada – During our time on the show floor we stopped by a company called Rocstor. If you have not heard of them, then you should check them out. They manufacture external drives. CES 2012 Las Vegas, Nevada – Just when you thought our CES coverage was over we bring you our coverage of AMD and a few of the products that they wanted to show off during CES. AMD’s booth this year was somewhat out of the way. Although many companies choose to be on the main floor of the show AMD was up in what almost seemed like a back corner in the meeting room area. This did not mean that they did not bring out some cool stuff. It just seemed like they really were not looking to deal with the madness of the show floor.

CES 2012 Las Vegas, Nevada – One of our late night CES appointments was to the MSI suite. Although we have worked with MSI a lot in the past in the last few months they have undergone some internal restructuring. This has been kept off of the net for the most part, but in the end will be a very good thing for MSI. We expect to hear a lot more from them in the coming months.
