Are we getting a cheaper Nexus 7?

P 500

According to some rumors, Google wants to offer a tablet for those with shallower pockets, priced at around $99. The tablet would be similar to the current Nexus 7, produced by Asus, but it would have weaker hardware. How did we reach the hardware characteristics? On the web appeared a GLBenchmark for a certain tablet under the name "Asus ME172V", which some consider to be a future entry-level Nexus 7 (or one that has been assigned the name) from Asus’ workshops.

Sony's hybrid gamepad

gamepad

If you are a fan of Sony and their gamepads, there is some good news coming for you. With their Move controller that is becoming more and more popular as similar technologies are used across all other platforms too (Wii, Xbox kinect), they plan to introduce a new controller that will be the best of both. Sony has apparently successfully merged their standard DualShock gamepad with the somewhat newer Move and came up with a whole new controller.

sharp-building

Sharp, who is in deep financial problems, could soon get a significant financial injection from the several companies, particularly Dell, Intel and Qualcomm. The three companies are holding talks with Sharp in about investing large amounts of cash into the company. Sharp has reportedly asked Dell and Intel for $240 million in exchange for shares in the company or as a debt. Qualcomm investments should probably be somewhat smaller.

Americans like Facebook the most

Google Logo

The firm Morrison & Forrester has published statistics which are intended to show the online habits of Americans. Among other things; they Compared Facebook and Google+ for relative traffic. You can already make some predictions yourself from personal experience about these two. Facebook was here first, picked up tons of users, over time there was more and more spam, ads and irrelevant things. Meanwhile Google Plus came along, was announced as a revolution, but failed to attract a larger number of users. However from a personal point of view and of several people I talked to, Google Plus has a lot less spam and "stupid" things, also discussions have higher quality, and there is no so many people that have their profiles solely to get 50+ likes on half naked pictures.
