Bad Routing Slows Down US to EU Traffic

Yesterday a planned update managed to take down part of the transatlantic cabling that connects the US to EU. Although there are no really firm details we do know that for a couple of hours services were disrupted for European Internet users. Multiple companies responded to the disruption with information pages. Swedish Telecom Telias confirmed the shortly after the complaints began hitting sites like Twitter and Facebook.

450 Mbps achieved with LTE-Advanced technology

Ericsson and Australian mobile operator Telstra announced that they have for the first time in a commercial mobile network reached the transmission speed of 450Mbps to the customer using technology LTE-Advanced (LTE-A) Carrier Aggregation.

Tom Clancy's The Division delayed until 2015

Ubisoft has confirmed that Tom Clancy's The Division is postponed until next year when it should appear on the PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. They delay was accompanied by the usual statement that explained that the Ubisoft Reflections, and development houses Ubisoft Massive and Red Storm Entertainment does not want to compromise the project at the expense of the quality, and that they plan to publish the game plan when it is completely ready.

How much energy do next-gen consoles waste?

Nonprofit organization Natural Resources Defense Council conducted a survey on the consumption of electricity for the game consoles of the latest generation. It was discovered that Microsoft's Xbox One and Sony's Playstation 4 used 2 to 3 times more electricity than the previous generation of consoles.
