Huawei at the presentation in London officially launched smartphones Ascend P6. The device boasts a stylish design and a very small thickness of only 6.18 mm, while the total weight of the metal casing is 120 grams.

Once upon a time Nokia was a giant in the industry. They towered over everyone even Apple and held the market with their own OS Symbian for a number of years.

Unfortunately as the rest of the world broke into Android and iOS Symbian was quickly forgotten even though it is one of the founders of the smartphone era. Nokia was also no slouch at developing hardware either. They are the holders of a large number of patents (their own inventions too). Still despite all of this Nokia could not hold onto the crown. After a few years trying to make Symbian more relevant they have dropped several rungs in the ladder and now are partnered up with Microsoft as the premier partner for their Windows Phone platform.

A lot is known about the Nokia's next smartphone codenamed EOS. However, according to new information,  shown  photos and video of the finished device were actually depicting a prototype.

According to IDC's estimates, next year 1.7 billion "smart connected devices" should be supplied, of which around billion will go to emerging markets. The smart connected devices is IDC name for "smart" mobile phones, tablets and PCs, and most deliveries are expected in China, India, Brazil and Russia. Just these four markets are expected to supply about 662 million units, worth more than 206 billion dollars.

HTC has officially announced the release of smartphones with Google's factory version of the operating system Android. The device bears the name HTC One Nexus User Experience and will be on sale from 26th June through an online store Google Play.

Galaxy S3 sold 10 million copies in 50 days, a Galaxy S2 for the same number took full five months. The popularity and acceptance of the company's most powerful smartphones is skyrocketing.

Xperia ZR is smaller, but not necessarily less advanced smartphone compared to the flagship Xperia Z. It brings a smaller screen with a diagonal of 4.6 inches with a resolution of 720p, but still retaines resistance to water and dust by the standards of IP55 and IP58.
