It’s time we asked ourselves some basic questions.  How far is too far?  At what point do the efforts to protect our freedoms encroach on those very things?  Some of you will recognize the name Barrett Brown.  Mr. Brown is known in some circles as an activist.  In others he’s elevated to the level of hero.  Those in other areas see him as a threat, as an example of what should not be allowed to happen in today’s world of terror cells and the anonymous spread of… what exactly?

ZTE releases their first Firefox OS smartphone

ZTE and Mozilla have released a media statement saying that they will soon start selling what they say is "the first Firefox OS smartphone that is based entirely on web technology" on the eBay. They also say that users with this device get the performance, personalization and price they want in a smartphone packed into a beautiful, clean, intuitive and simple user experience.

Application TweetDeck brings an upgrade they intended for users who like to write a large number of tweets on the microblogging service Twitter. Novelty is a special New Tweet panel that will make writing tweets much easier than it was before. There are three icons that allow you to quickly add files to a new tweet, then the option of programming tweets to be sent at a specific time in the future, and icon to quickly send a direct message.

The International 3 has come to a close

The world's largest Dota 2 tournament has ended this weekend, and win a prize of huge $1.4 million were taken by the Swedish e-sports team Team Alliance, who were by many the favorites of the tournament. In the final they met with Ukrainians from the team Na'vi, who will be coming home from Seattle with a prize of $632,000 for the second place.

Larry Ellison Says NSA Surveillance is "Great"

Larry Ellison could be very out of touch with reality if some of his recent comments on TV. Since losing a long court battle where he tried to grab millions (well really hundreds of Millions) from Google over approximately 7 lines of very simple and basic code he is back complaining about Google again. This time he spoke out on CBS this Morning with a few comments about how bad Google is for using Java as a development platform. This is despite the fact that the judge presiding over the case stated that the code in question could have been recreated with little effort. Ellison just cannot get over the fact that this lawsuit did not go in his favor and he could not honor his friend Steve Jobs by ruining Android and Google in the process.
