Samsung today officially unveiled two new mobile phones in the category of so called "phablets". So it is neither phone nor tablet - or - if you prefer - both phone and tablet. It is, in fact, the devices with screen diagonal of big 6.3 or 5.8 inches, which is called Samsung Galaxy Mega 6.3 and Samsung Galaxy Mega 5.8. Not to mix them with a series of notes, as they do not come with the S Pen stylus.
Dutch electronics giant Phillips has been quite popular in a last couple of years for their innovative LED lighting. The latest product from their advanced laboratories is a new generation of LED lighting, which is designed to replace fluorescent lighting tubes which are often used to light up the commercials and office space. New TLED pipes can boast efficacy of 200 lumens per watt, while fluorescent lamps offer 100 lumens per watt and incandescent bulb offers only 15 lumens per watt.
At IDF Beijing conference in Beijing, Intel presented the characteristics of the Bay Trail generation of processors intended for tablet makers. According to Intel, a completely new architecture in a somewhat anemic Atoms. They estimate the new generation of the fuel-efficient processor will enable the design of the device thickness of only 8 mm, which can work all day with only one battery, and weeks will be in stand-by mode. However they did not mention how big would the battercy capacity be.
