After Foxconn had troubles with some of their workers allegedly striking in the iPhone manufacturing factory; they have even bigger problems with the Wii U line. This time problems are not workers striking, having workers under the age of 16. This is against Chinese labor laws and of course against common sense. They said “Our investigation has shown that the interns in question, who ranged in age from 14 to 16, had worked in that campus for approximately three weeks.”

Verizon has published their results for Q3 2013 and they are doing pretty good. They managed to sell 6.8 million smartphones, which means that now more than 53% of Verizon users are smartphone owners. These sales brought them a 7.5% year-on-year rise and around 1.8 million new customers; which is the most in the last 4 years. In only three months they made $16.2 billion in revenue and the average amount of money spent on their services per account has also increased by 6.5% making it $145.42 monthly.

As Facebook looks for a new ways of making money they have introduced the Android Software Development Kit and Developers center. They have prepared Facebook widgets for app developers to implement into their apps. They also provided guides for building in friends so you can annoy your friends with app requests once they are done.  As they stated on their site “This release includes several tools that simplify authentication and authorization, including a Fragment and a Button that manage login state automatically.”

Listener Approved is a new company with the goal of promoting the private music industry. Artists of all ages, genres, creeds, and backgrounds can use this platform to publish their music, allow others to listen to it, and receive feedback on it. The Listener Approved application is linkable with all major social networks, like Facebook, Twitter, etc. I would dare say that Listener Approved is on the way to becoming “the” social music application.
