Losing a pet can be one of the more difficult things a person can endure. Many people care very deeply for their dogs, cats, or other non-human friends. But what happens when your pet gets lost? Without a collar or an externally identifying tag, it can be difficult at best for a complete stranger to locate the proper owner of the animal. Microchips solve this problem.

Summary of today’s Apple even; Or How to Launch an Existing Product

The first one to come on stage during today’s event was Tim Cook, Apple's CEO, who welcomed the audience and happily opened this set with stories about the success of the new iPhone. He referred to the record sales of iPhone 5 (over five million units during the first weekend) which was accompanied by the typical Apple euphoric video. After that came information on successful sales of new iPods, 3 million so far, as well as the large acceptance of iOS 6, on over 200 million devices, and then about 1.5 million books available via iBook store, 35 billion downloaded applications and so on. Cook said with great pride that the Mac is currently number one in the U.S. in both desktop and notebook segment [Ed - Considering that Mac represents less than 20% of the market we are not sure about that claim...].

The Steam Workshop celebrates its first birthday

Steam Workshop, Valve's service for sharing modifications for Team Fortress 2 has grown into a serious service that allows moders to share content and comment on many games with the community. The workshop currently supports 16 titles with many announcing upcoming support and community modders so far distributed nearly 300,000 modifications in the form of new models, maps, campaigns, and even complete games created with Gamemaker Studio.

Nokia releases their cheapest Windows Phone

Nokia's revenue is still generated through the sales of cheap devices in emerging markets. In accordance with the shifting business to Windows Phone, the company has also offered a cheap device based on the Microsoft OS. The new Lumia 510 will replace the 610 as the new entry level Windows Phone smartphone. Initial markets are India and China, but after it launches in September it should move quickly to other Asian and South American countries.

Google to bring new Nexus tablets and Android 4.2

It looks like Google will bring quite few new things to their next event; a new Nexus tablets and Android 4.2 are to be announced. Some of the most anticipated things are the new Nexus 7 tablets with 3G connectivity and a 10-inch Nexus tablet. There will be also a Nexus reference coming from LG. A 32GB version of the Nexus 7 is apparently confirmed to be revealed, which should achieve great success as customers have shown great interest in it. To top it all; one of the new things that should arrive is 32GB version with 3G, and HSPA+ for the on-the-go connectivity.
