Huawei finally decided to enter the high end smartphone market. After the Ascend P1 made fairly good success they are now bringing something more powerful to compete with Galaxy S3, iPhone 5 and company.
If we are to believe the rumors, this year both Sony and Microsoft are going to release their new game consoles - the question is who will be the first one to enter the spotlight. According to statements coming from Sony, it could be Microsoft.
Today Anandtech had an announcement from Intel about a reduction to their desktop motherboard business with a ramp down planned over the next three years. This means that Intel will begin to bow out of this market slowly with an expected exit sometime around 2016. Intel will continue to work with third party manufacturers in the design and build of their boards including the development of reference boards for new form factors (like the one used for the Next Unit of Computing). The question is; what will this mean to both Intel and the rest of the desktop market? In truth it means very little to the majority of the market, but it is significant in many ways.

IBM has developed flexible circuits that are 10,000 times thinner than paper and can be bent. These circuits are "peeled" from pieces of silicon and mounted on a thin piece of flexible plastic. The application of these circuits is intended for the devices like curved and folded computers as well as mobile phones and medical equipment. These parts should provide flexibility along with a relatively high computing power.
Dutch architect Janjaap Ruijssenaars announced that he intends to make a two floor building entirely from parts "printed" with a 3D printer. Ruijssenaars intends to make a "Landscape House", which has a two-story set in the shape of the number 8, which he describes as a unique surface twisted in a unlimited loop, where the floor converts into the roof from the inside out.
