Valve's search for Play testers

ValveLogo

Today Valve announced that they are looking “for folks to come to Valve and playtest both released and unreleased versions of our games as well as play around with some of our hardware prototypes”. This means that you will be able to test games at Valve's HQ and not only from your home. However take notice that this testing sessions last around an hour, so it won’t be those kind of beta game tests you do at home that could last for days, weeks, even months. Valve is certainly making a good move with this idea and as a huge amount of gamers like to play betas there will be great interest in it.

Samsung Galaxy S3 Is T-Mobile's Best Selling Phone

t-mobile-logo

T-Mobile announced that Samsung Galaxy S3 is their best-selling mobile device of all time. This is another confirmation of its true quality and desirability by consumers. Of course this doesn’t mean much to T-Mobile, but it certainly does to Samsung in their race with other smartphones, mainly the iPhone. No official number of devices sold has been announced yet, but considering that T-Mobile is not as big as other carriers it's sure that they are not the leading seller.

Another Ville coming from Zynga

cityville2

Just as I started to notice fewer requests to all-kinds-of-Ville games on Facebook, Zynga announced they will launch a sequel to CityVille. They don’t want to tell much about the game, but they revealed “It has all the features in CityVille that players love – from neighbor visits and crews to buildables – blended with some of the innovations we introduced in CastleVille and FarmVille 2 such a crafting and 3D graphics.”

Razer Fiona will be made

razer

Razer’s concept design that certainly raised the spirits of the gamers around the globe will be made. Razer's CEO Min-Liang Tan posted a note on his Facebook page saying “If this post gets 10,000 likes/shares in the next 7 days, we’ll work on making the concept a reality and launch the product. On top of that, we’ll share some of the high-level concepts with you to crowd source some of the design decisions – For Gamers. By Gamers. We’d like to hear how you would like to design the actual tablet right here on the Razer Facebook Page, as well as take suggestions for specs, form factor, pricing, features etc.”  I guess there is no need to say that the wanted 10,000 likes/shares were passed with ease.

Surfeasy private networks fall offline

surfout

The Surfeasy private proxy network suffered an outage today starting around 10:00am and lasted for about an hour. There was no indication that there would be any maintenance or other issues with the network, but the service dropped offline leaving people with active sessions exposed and anyone that tried to connect unable to. Even attempting to connect to the Surfeasy home page resulted in a “This website is offline” error from the Cloudflare hosting service that Surfeasy uses.
